WHAT TO EXPECT

Combining travelling and volunteering, voluntourism aims to cultivate sustainable and responsible travel by giving back to society. Interact with and contribute to local communities or environments through activities ranging from conservation of local wildlife areas, education programmes or community development while having fun, experiencing new places and making positive impact in this world.

BE A PART OF LOCAL PROJECTS

Depending on your interest, we can organise for you to participate in wildlife conservation, school and orphanage visits or working on building and eco projects. Most projects are centered around Nairobi, Mombasa and Arusha and we work closely with the organisations to ensure that assistance and contributions provided are used effectively.

GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

For a rural local experience, we can arrange for local community home stays where you will be provided accommodation and meals by your host. Learn how water is drawn from wells and carried for miles, help milk cows, feed chickens, sow seeds and tend to fields of maize. Visit a local market to buy and prepare a meal using fresh locally produced ingredients. Interact with the local children or fellow volunteers in neighbouring NGOs. Challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone.

EXPLORE THE NATURE OF AFRICA

Take the opportunity to learn more about Africa, enhance your experience with day excursions or extended trips. Get up close with nature and wildlife in world-renowned Masai Mara or Serengeti National Reserves. Challenge yourself to summit Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Kenya, the highest and second highest peak in Africa respectively. Or hop to neighbouring Rwanda or Uganda for a different wildlife pilgrimage – gorilla trekking.
